The Race To The Playoffs Tightens Up

The Wild host the LA Kings tomorrow while Dallas plays in San Jose.

On Wednesday the LA Kings visit the Red Wings.

Thursday Nashville is in Detroit and Columbus is in Dallas.

On Friday, Edmonton is in Minnesota.

On Saturday, Nashville is in Columbus, Detroit in Dallas and Minnesota in Colorado.


In the East...

First thing to remember, Washington and Winnipeg are fighting for the 3rd seed and they happen to meet tomorrow in Washington.

Also on Tuesday the NYI play in Carolina and the NYR are in Florida.

On Thursday, the Flyers host the Islanders, Ottawa is in Washington, the Rangers are in Carolina and Winnipeg hosts Montreal.

Friday the Islanders are in Buffalo.

Saturday The Devils travel to the Rangers, Philadelphia is in Ottawa and Boston in Washington.

And on Sunday, as a make-up game, the regular season concludes with Ottawa playing in Boston.



  • The greater number of games won (not including games won in a shootout).
  • The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
  • Goal differential.
