via the Philadelphia Flyers,
Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced this afternoon that goaltender Michal Neuvirth will be out of action 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.
Neuvirth stopped six of seven shots in the first period of Saturday's 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild, but did not return after intermission to start the second period. He was replaced by Steve Mason, who stopped 19 of 20 shots and took the win.
Neuvirth is 4-2-0 this season, his second with the Flyers, and has posted a 3.54 GAA and .859 save percentage in nine appearances.
