The Ottawa Senators have dismissed CEO Jim Little less than two months after hiring him in early January.
According to a statement, “the decision was made as a result of conduct inconsistent with the core values of the Ottawa Senators and the National Hockey League.” It is effective immediately.
Little was originally hired by the Senators to oversee the business operations side of the club, with a specific focus on marketing and community engagement. He came to the Senators from Shaw Communications and also has previously worked as an executive with Royal Bank, Bell Canada, and Bombardier.
According to a statement released Wednesday, a search for Little’s replacement has already begun and senior management will cover his duties in the interim.
