Heartless Trophy for least valuable player
Goes to Ville Leino of the Buffalo Sabres. No goals and 15 assists for the price of a $4.5 million cap hit. No wonder they bought him out.
The vote was close, by a hair, over the pylon-like performance of Douglas Murray of the Montreal Canadiens and the distractions Daniel Carcillo — currently of the Rangers — creates that keep getting him traded.
Plus-minus playing time award
Colton Orr of the Leafs. He spent 290 minutes on the ice (643rd in the league) and 110 minutes in the penalty box (23rd highest in the league).
