from Francois Lauzon of the Montreal Gazette,
With 24 goals in the last five games while allowing only six, the demise of the 2017-18 Habs has been exaggerated, or so it seems.
Seeing a run like this, I normally rush out of the Montreal Gazette office on Ste-Catherine St. and lock my folding chair to a post, reserving my spot for the Stanley Cup parade along the usual route in June 2018.
This time, I have safely taped my shins to get back on the CH bandwagon — but I’m not putting out the folding chair just yet.
Beating the Detroit Red Wings 10-1 on Saturday is impressive goal-wise, but may I remind the Habs nation that the Wings are not a top-flight team in the NHL.
So what do we think of this unlikely resurgence of the bleu-blanc-rouge?
First off, I think it’s time to celebrate a little. These past five games have been fun and it feels like an early Christmas gift.
