from Matt Gryta of the Buffalo News,
Hours after Buffalo Sabre Evander Kane pleaded not guilty Monday to charges linked to an alleged June incident at a Chippewa Street bar, his lawyers confirmed he’s been sued by a woman who alleges he assaulted her in December. They said Kane is about to countersue the woman for false claims.
Paul J. Cambria Jr. and his partner, James T. Scime, said the State Supreme Court suit will be served on Rachel Kuechle and her lawyers within a week or two.
