Former Bruins and Boston College star Kevin Stevens, charged last week with two federal drug offenses, appeared in court Tuesday and was released from federal detention and had his case moved to June 21 for an initial status conference.
Stevens, who turned 51 last month, was arrested last Thursday on two charges, both related to oxycodone. He entered not guilty pleas on both charges Tuesday.
According to the indictment, Stevens and Christopher Alonardo of Medford, over a span of months (August 2015 through at least March 2016) and in multiple locations, did “knowingly combine, conspire, confederate and agree . . . to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone.’’ Also, per the indictment, Stevens “did knowingly and intentionally possess with intent to distribute oxycodone” on Nov. 5, 2015 in Braintree.
