Gonchar told the Citizen he joked about the rumor while practising with his Kontinental League team....
The Los Angeles Kings were relieved to learn starting goalie and 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Quick made a full recovery from off-season back surgery and is ready to go for the upcoming season.
The status of Kings backup goalie Jonathan Bernier was the subject of considerable interest last summer when it was revealed he'd requested a trade prior to last season's deadline, but it was denied by management.
