30 goals and I don’t believe I’ve ever heard of him?.....Must be old age creeping in…..

He was the only guy scoring when Barkov and Huberdeau were out with injuries. And continued to score once they came back. A little out of the blue, but he had a consistent season. Great get for any team for the right price, just know it wont be the Wings.

Marchessault was signed as a UFA from Tampa last summer. Great small player. The only reason he may be left off is so Panthers don’t lose defensemen Alex Petrovic and Mark Pysyk. That said I would rather leave Nick Bjugstad exposed but not sure Vegas would take him over a Panthers d-man. I would protect Marchessault, Petrovic and Pysyk before I would protect Jason Demers.

Could be Panthers go 8 skaters route and protect 4 defensemen and Huberdeau, Barkov, Trocheck & Smith. Leaving Marchessault and Bjugstad exposed.

This guy’s been hanging around as a fringe player for a while - got into few games in Columbus a few years back. I guess the lack of size and draft pedigree made it a real uphill battle for him to earn a legit chance.

Looks like he did pretty well with Tampa, but they are so deep in skilled forwards it took
the opportunity in Florida to break out.

The league’s seemingly changed quickly enough that a smaller, skilled, determined player isn’t so quickly written off anymore. Good for him.

Negative 21 player though but a lot of players on the Panthers didn’t play an ounce of defense last season including Ekblad.
This team needs the scoring so I am curious to see if they value his offense enough to protect him from MGM Grand Knights.
