Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Cam Cole of the Vancouver Sun,
Don’t drop what you’re doing, because it’s not that important—just another disposable hockey player’s head, and what’s one more or less in the grand scheme of things?
But when you’ve got a minute, You-Tube the Daniel Carcillo hit on Ruslan Fedotenko from Thursday night’s Philly-Rangers game.
Turn the volume up, because you’re not going to want to miss the Philadelphia Comcast crew’s analysis of the Flyers’ Carcillo catching Fedotenko with his head down, leaving his feet, politely extending an elbow, and clocking the Ukrainian forward coming out of the Rangers’ zone.
“I don’t think that was a cheap shot,” says the colour man, that colour being primarily orange, with black and white trim. “Fedotenko’s falling, so Carcillo basically can’t control his body at that point, he’s coming in to take the body ... I know why the referee didn’t raise his arm. That was a good hit.”
