from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,
Mike Ribeiro was shipped out Friday by the Dallas Stars and now we wait and see if the same will happen to Steve Ott as the club tries to reshape its core a little and get younger.
A source told ESPN.com that Ott is getting plenty of interest, just as he did before the trade deadline.
Maybe it’s just me, but Ott’s size and versatility as a second- or third-line winger would be just what the Montreal Canadiens need. He’s be a perfect fit for a team lacking toughness and size.

I for one would love to see Ott on the Wings. It screams of a classic Holland-esque (is -aise just not right?) acquisition of a veteran character guy with passion, grit, and some skills to boot; hopefully at a good price. I really feel for the guy though, I’m sure his heart and soul will always be in Dallas.
He took my fantasy team to the cup, so he’s all good in my book.
