from Damian Cristodero of Lightning Strikes,
The agent for rehabbing defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron said he has spoken to Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman, and characterized Tampa Bay’s interest as “serious,” though Paul Corbeil added that both sides are doing their homework to see if Bergeron, a free agent, would be a good fit.
“I’m sure he could be a good asset for the Lightning,” Corbeil said Wednesday. “They’re a good team and having a very good beginning of the year. I think it would be a very nice fit with Guy Boucher and the coaching staff.”
