Talking Turco

from the Dallas Stars,
Marty Turco is about to have of the biggest thrills of his life -- representing Canada at the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. DallasStars.com was able to sit down with Marty to talk a little bit about how he started as a young boy and the role his parents played in this exclusive Q&A. DallasStars.com: How instrumental was the University of Michigan in your development? Turco: "It was very instrumental. The biggest part of my maturation as a person and hockey player was at Michigan. I grew up there, I turned from a boy into a man. There were pressures and challenges, but you couldn't help but succeed when you're surrounded by nothing but good people in a nurturing environment like that. I needed that to prepare me for life and for the NHL. I'll always remember and be grateful for my time at Michigan."
