Sutton Will Miss At Least One Game

NEW YORK (October 29, 2011)—Edmonton Oilers defenseman Andy Sutton has been suspended, pending a hearing Monday, for a check to the head of Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog during NHL Game #138 Friday night at Colorado, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 3:20 of the third period. Sutton received a minor penalty for elbowing.

Sutton will miss Edmonton’s game Sunday against St. Louis.
