Suddenly The Canucks Are Struggling

The highlight of the evening was when they showed a little boy on the jumbotron at centre ice holding a sign which read ‘this is my first Canuck game.’

You have to wonder whether that kid has been traumatized for life after this one. If he never comes back to Rogers Arena, who could blame him? Just when everyone thought an NHL game couldn’t get any worse than the horror show on Tuesday night against Columbus, a new level of outrage was established Thursday.

This season the Canucks have almost always been entertaining but evidently they’re taking a break and most of the paying customers leaving the building last night won’t be upset they’re going out of town for a while. Perhaps their only wish is that this tour could last as long as that Olympic trip last season. At the moment they’re playing so poorly at home you’d think it was the playoffs.
