Strength Of Schedule

USA TODAY analyzed the stretch run schedule to determine who faces the biggest challenge. Factors were the number of road games, the average home and road wins of their opponents, the number of games against plus-.500 teams and teams 10 games over .500, the number of back-to-back games and how many Olympians are on their team.
Very interesting to see who may have an easier run at the playoffs...the chart is at the bottom of the Hurricanes article which is also a good read from Kevin Allen. update 7:33pm, Another article from Mr. Allen who must have had some spare time will in Turin, this one about the trade deadline and who may be available-
Trade-deadline day is a major event on the NHL calendar and is treated like a holiday in Canada. TSN, the Canadian equivalent of ESPN, spends hours covering it. Most people around the league don't want to see trade-deadline day lose its luster because it has such high fan interest.
