Streit Hurts Shoulder In Scrimmage Game

Mark Streit, the team’s No. 1 defenseman and invaluable leader, suffered a shoulder injury in the third period after falling awkwardly into the boards after a soft cross-check from Matt Moulson. It was the kind of hit you see every day at practice and Streit absords bigger ones ten times a game. This was just the worst kind of luck for Streit and the Islanders.
Point Blank has learned that when Streit left the Coliseum, his left arm was wrapped and in a sling.
We should know by Monday the extent of the damage to Streit’s shoulder…
