Stay Safe Calgary

from TSN and CTV files,

Scotiabank Saddledome and the Stampede grounds are among the many areas that have been hit by severe flooding as the province has called on the residents of Calgary's flood-hit regions to heed evacuation orders and head to higher ground.

According to several reports, the water is up to the 10th row of seats in the NHL arena while the dressing rooms are completely submerged and the Jumbotron and other equipment resting on the arena floor has been ruined.

Canadian Forces are deploying 1,200 troops to help in the worst-hit areas of Alberta, and as roughly 100,000 people were set for evacuation in Calgary alone.

"When that is asked, people really must leave, although it is an extremely difficult thing to do," said Alberta Premier Alison Redford, calling the flooding an "absolutely tragic situation."
