The Dallas Stars organization has released the following statement:
"In no way, shape or form does the Dallas Stars organization condone or agree with the message that was sent out through Tyler Seguin's Twitter feed last night. We've addressed the issue directly with Tyler and we'll continue to work on educating our players regarding the importance of their conduct on all forms of social media."
Not sure what this is all about, start here...

Whether or not he sent the tweet, it gives the smoking gun that he and those around him aren’t focused on playing hockey.
What piece of crap, huh? Why isn’t he tweeting about hockey in mid-July while out with friends? Hell, why is out with friends at all instead of watching tapes, which is what most pro hockey players are doing on Saturday nights in July?
I hope that, if you ever climb off that high horse of yours, you slip in your own horseshit and fall flat on our face.

I would rather be on that high horse kicking the crap out of the low life values you advocate. Here is another tip for you einstein. Instead of trolling my comments, why don’t you ignore them. I haven’t commented on your crap, except when you spew sh!t at me personally, why don’t you return the favor.

OK, shots fired from both sides. Now, please use the ignore feature or send pm’s.
I am sure people don’t want to come to the comment section just to read this volley.
Thanks.

This was stupid and needless from Dallas’ side. Way to make it worse, Stars..
Looks like Seguin confirmed everything the Bruins said in one action. Whether or not he sent the tweet, it gives the smoking gun that he and those around him aren’t focused on playing hockey.

So you personally have no working knowledge of social media and what sort of stuff happens on it? Thanks for confirming that for everyone. Ignorance is no excuse.
This is no reflection on Seguin himself, save that he needs to get control of some of his associates. The “no homo” thing originally was his and was something he owned up to. I don’t think he’s dumb enough to then make that same mistake again twice again.
Seguin’s mistake here is in still protecting whichever friend of his continues to mess with him.

or, maybe he is and that’s why the Stars did what they did.

His first tweet was an off-hand comment he probably shouldn’t have hashtagged. If he left off that hashtag, there’s no issue at all.
The second tweet was “Time to come out of the closet”.
The third was this “Steers and queers” one.
Do you see a difference between the first and the other two?
The first tweet had context to it, there was something else he was saying. The second and third were blunt, came out of nowhere, with no context or point to them. They are also not coming in just the evenings or something.
Common sense is apparently not so common. And I’m not talking about Seguin.

I thought the new You Can Play thing was about supporting players with this sort of thing.

The Stars traded Eriksson for this? They may need to find out what Chicago did to ‘handle’ Patrick Kane after his metldown. Seguin’s mom may need to step in with her son, if he is the “good boy” she says he is.
