Binnington then stopped all 32 shots he faced for his second career shutout in a 1-0 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning Feb. 7. He added 29 saves in a 3-2 triumph over the Nashville Predators Feb. 9. The 25-year-old Richmond Hill, Ont., native – who made his first NHL start Jan. 7 after being selected in the third round (87th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft – has appeared in 13 games this season, compiling a 9-1-1 record with a 1.72 goals-against average and .931 save percentage. Binnington, who is 5-0-0 in his past five contests dating to Jan. 23 (1.38 GAA, .942 SV%, 1 SO), is the sixth rookie in St. Louis history to post a five-game winning streak and first since current teammate Jake Allen from March 7-16, 2013 (5-0-0).

SECOND STAR – PATRICE BERGERON, C, BOSTON BRUINS

Bergeron ranked second in the League with 4-3—7 in four outings to propel the Bruins (31-17-8, 70 points) to a 3-0-1 week and into third place in the Atlantic Division. The 15-season veteran played in his 1,000th NHL game Feb. 5, scoring twice in a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders. He became the sixth player in League history to record multiple goals while skating in his 1,000th game and the first to achieve the feat since Feb. 9, 2012 (Chris Phillips w/ OTT). Bergeron added one goal in a 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Rangers Feb. 6. He then posted 1-2—3, including his seventh career overtime goal, in a 5-4 triumph over the Los Angeles Kings Feb. 9 before closing the week with the primary assist on Brad Marchand’s overtime winner in a 2-1 victory against the Colorado Avalanche Feb. 10.
