Stars lose Gonchar to broken ankle

The Stars and defensemen's lower limbs don't go together very well. TSN reports that another Stars defenseman (last year it was Stephane Robidas) has suffered a leg fracture of some kind:

The Dallas Stars will be without veteran defenceman Sergei Gonchar for the start of the season.

GM Jim Nill announced Gonchar will miss 3-5 weeks with a fractured ankle.

Gonchar is in his second season with the Stars, scoring two goals and 20 assists with the team last year.

The 40-year-old, who's also spent time with the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Ottawa Senators, is in the second year of a two year, $10 million deal with Dallas.

Haha good point HTO. I also saw some comment you made about him being fine on another team/d pairing. Completely agree. Not sure if it’ll happen with Dallas but I think Kindl could be part of a trade. Holland needs to change a few faces on D.
