Stanley Injured- Will Not Miss A Shift

via the News & Observer,
The Cup had survived being accidentally dropped late Monday night while the trophy was changing hands after the Hurricanes defeated Edmonton in Game 7 of the finals. A team spokesman said the Cup suffered a slight "tear" on the edge of the bowl that sits atop the trophy. It will need to be repaired but not until it goes to Montreal as early as September to be engraved. The Cup already has other dents and dings in it from previous mishaps.
