HEROES

Oscar Lindberg - The Rangers' rookie centre has tallied four goals through three games, forming an effective line with J.T. Miller and Viktor Stalberg early in the season. After a 56-point AHL season last year, Lindberg is ready for NHL duty. He's not ready to score at this kind of pace.

Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan MacKinnon - Colorado's pair of rising young forwards led the way in Saturday's 6-3 win over Dallas, with Landeskog (2 G, 2 A) and MacKinnon (1 G, 2 A) combining for three goals at even strength.

Justin Abdelkader - In two wins, over Toronto Friday and at Carolina Saturday, Abdelkader scored four goals and added an assist. Linemate Henrik Zetterberg recorded five assists in those Red Wings victories.

ZEROES

Goaltenders: It was ugly in a hurry at Florida Saturday, as Flyers G Steve Mason gave up four goals on eight shots at Florida…Maple Leafs G Jonathan Bernier was pulled after allowing three goals on nine shots at Detroit Friday…Kings G Jonathan Quick allowed four goals on 22 shots vs. Arizona Friday…Hurricanes G Cam Ward surrendered four goals on 19 shots against Detroit Saturday…Stars G Antti Niemi gave up six goals on 28 shots at Colorado Saturday.
