Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel was at once angered and delighted by the fracas that coincided with the final horn Friday in the Blue Jackets’ 4-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
Anaheim forward Corey Perry, who had been pushing the limits of legal physical play throughout the game, took a whack at Blue Jackets center Antoine Vermette, then jabbed at him two or three times before throwing what Arniel termed a “sucker punch.”
A five-on-five skirmish ensued. Skirmish, I say, because it stopped just short of an all-out line brawl. As Perry skated away holding his arm, Vermette and Ducks winger Bobby Ryan wrestled each other to the ground and drew roughing penalties at the 20:00 mark of the third period.
Remarkably, Perry was not given a penalty. But there is a check next to his name in Arniel’s book.

I’m sure Perry was just trying to convince Vermette that any and all penalties called against Anaheim during the game were unfair, and since Vermette wouldn’t listen, he just had to punch him to make him pay attention.

Katie Perry is the littlest douchebag and biggest bitch in the NHL. He sucker punches opposing players all the time becasue he knows Randy The Goon Carlyle will send out Porn Star Parros to do the dirty work. Would be nice to see someone just go nuts and two hand him right in the face. It would be worth the suspension.
