Snider Recommends Flyers Skip Olympics

Flyers chairman Ed Snider understands his players have the right to represent their countries in this month's Winter Olympics. But as their employer, he is strongly recommending three of them turn down their invitations. Flyers center Peter Forsberg, goaltender Robert Esche and defenseman Joni Pitkanen plan on playing for Sweden, the United States and Finland, respectively, when the Olympics begin on Feb. 16 in Turin, Italy.
