GTL, I think it’s the hangup on the salary cap.  60-65, that’s about 1 marquee player from big teams to smaller ones.  Think he’s arguing it’s a way to redistribute some talent to teams that haven’t been doing so hot with what they’ve got and have a hard time getting FA’s.

We’ll see.  So far, all-around, this smells like horse-shit.  NHL at the very least has to put on heirs to make it look like they actually tried to negotiate, and the PA has to pony along too or risk looking like they didn’t honestly try prior to disclaiming.  If we get a deal done, right on, but everything so far is what was going to have to happen regardless, not some epiphany or clammering owner decension coming against the deadline to lose a season.

I’m saving my excitement for a press-conference.  Everything else is horse-shit.
