Kukla's Korner Hockey

Slow Starters

from Gary Thorne at USA TODAY,
Calgary cannot score and its goaltending has been surprisingly mediocre. Philadelphia is a mess. Boston is shuffling goaltenders with little hope of anything. St. Louis, Columbus, Chicago and Phoenix are already in deep trouble with regard to any postseason hopes. It's tough to be thinking next year before the turkey has even been carved. Wayne Gretzky is suffering in the desert and without goaltending help, it will get hotter.
