Kukla's Korner Hockey

Sleeping Alone

from the Calgary Herald,
To the best of his recollection, Jason Wiemer has never smothered a teammate. Not that the thought hadn't crossed his mind. But thanks to the freshly minted collective bargaining agreement, Wiemer -- and his fellow Calgary Flames -- can rest easy. Contained in the cumbersome document is one interesting proviso -- National Hockey League players with 600 games or 10 seasons of service are entitled to their own hotel rooms on the road. No questions asked.
