Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit Red Wings beats Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith.
Not sure how any goalie can stop a move like that without guessing.

Yea you’r right it’s a Kent Nilsson Mål (goal) that Forsberg later made famous..But it still nice to see.. “Mr. Magic” could stick handle in a phone booth.

Nilsson’s goal was executed during a live game play in a regular season game. Forsberg’s version was on the grandest stage of international play - the ‘94 Norway Winter Olympic Games in a shootout against Canada in the Gold Medal game. Can’t get much more high profile than that so everyone remembers the Nilsson goal as the Forsberg goal.

Hank has a cap hit of $6M per year and he’s on pace for a 15-goal season. So it’s about damn time he did something to earn his money. Maybe his (very cool) shootout goal will remind him of what he’s being paid for.
And if he wants to see what a player with the “drive” he used to have looks like, all he has to do is watch Mursak. That kid (along with Helm, Nyquist and, of course, Pavel) is what Wings hockey is all about.

It’s a lack of powerplay success, Z has always been money on the PP but this year he hasn’t been able to get anything going.
Ever since 2009 when the Wings brought in Hossa, Hank has been more of a playmaker than a goalscorer, especially in the regular season.
