San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the team has signed goaltender Brian Boucher to a one-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boucher, 31, has played seven NHL seasons with Philadelphia, Phoenix, Calgary, Chicago and Columbus and has spent the 2007-08 season with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, where he posted 23-16-1 record with a 2.47 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage with four shutouts in 42 games.
Most recently, Boucher split the 2006-07 season between the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets and the Phantoms.
