Shanny Moves Up

via the AP,
Brendan Shanahan had two goals and moved into 15th place on the NHL's career list, leading the Detroit Red Wings past the New Jersey Devils 5-2 Tuesday night. Shanahan began the game tied with Mike Bossy among the top goal scorers in league history. He made it 1-1 in the first period, and his 575th goal got the Red Wings even at 2 in the second.
Personally, I am surprised Shanahan has not been mentioned for the Canadian Olympic Team. He is having an outstanding season, and is the Wings MVP early this season. I now step down from my soapbox.
