Shanny Arrives Early

from the Journal News,
With the start of training camp still more than a week away, the seven-time All-Star was the most notable figure on the ice for the Rangers during another informal workout at the Madison Square Garden Training Center yesterday. Come the regular season and then potentially the playoffs, the 6-foot-3, 218-pound Shanahan is expected to be one of the Rangers' most productive forwards both at even strength and on the power play — not to mention an influential presence in the locker room. On Day One, though, he was just another player trying to get used to his surroundings.
