Selanne Still Going Strong

Just 11 games into the season, it’s clear Selanne has lost little in his stride or shot with six goals. He’s on pace for 44 goals after scoring three power-play markers Wednesday in a 5-4 overtime victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
With 558 career goals, Selanne is now 21st on the all-time scoring list, two ahead of Johnny Bucyk and just two back of Guy Lafleur.
“What impressed me [Wednesday] was that he worked like a dog, and you usually don’t expect a player in his late 30s to be your hardest-working player,” Ducks general manager Brian Burke said Thursday in a telephone interview
