Sea Wolves Forced To Suspend Operations

via the AP,
The Mississippi Sea Wolves will suspend hockey operations for the 2006-07 season, operating owner Mike Rogers said Monday afternoon. The deadline was supposed to be at 8 a.m. Monday, but the ECHL extended it until the end of the business day. But with the money to repair the Mississippi Coast Coliseum unavailable by the ECHL's deadline, the Sea Wolves now are forced to wait until 2007 before taking the ice again on the Coast.
