Scott Niedermayer - Media Guy

While it’s one thing to answer questions after a game, it’s another to deliver instant analysis on live television with thousands awaiting his first misspeak.

That’s the position Niedermayer found himself in last Thursday, when he did guest commentary on the NHL playoffs for ESPN’s SportsCenter.

Niedermayer had never done television analysis before, let alone on a stage like “SportsCenter.”

The Register tagged along with a slightly nervous Niedermayer for his broadcasting debut at ESPN’s Los Angeles studio:
