The NHL's free agency period begins on Saturday and already Marc Savard has moved on mentally from the Thrashers. The 29-year-old unrestricted free agent is grateful to the organization — coach Bob Hartley said he speaks to Savard once a week and that Savard will work at his camp in York, Pa., in July. But that doesn't lessen Savard's disappointment. "Kind of [disappointed] in a way because I loved playing there," he said via phone while in his offseason home of Peterborough, Ont. "Everyone's been great to me. Nothing's wrong. Everything that happened there, I'm not leaving on any bad terms. [Thrashers general manager] Donnie Waddell was great for my career. I don't leave anything bad behind. Atlanta was my first decision, but things didn't work out right now."continued...(reg. req.)
