Q. Game 4 is the swing game in any seven‑game series, and a lot of your guys admitted to being nervous before Game 1. Do you think all those nerves are gone for tonight?
SIDNEY CROSBY: Yeah, I think so. We know what we have to do. And this becomes the biggest game of the series. So probably a lot of guys are going to have a similar mind‑set to Game 3.
Q. Kind of a lighter question for you here about Colby Armstrong, who is serving as a guest analyst for us. And Colby actually predicted in Game 3 you’d have a big game and you guys would win 3‑2. Do you think he makes a perfect analyst?
SIDNEY CROSBY: I don’t know about that. I haven’t seen him. But if he’s predicting that, I hope he keeps it going.
I mean, he’s a good buddy. Maybe he knows me well. But that’s a good call on his part.
Q. It seemed like after you got the first goal finally the other night, you guys started going on the attack more, going right to the net. Is that fair to say, and how do you continue doing that tonight?
SIDNEY CROSBY: Yeah, I think we wanted to make sure we got pucks to the net. Obviously, to get that first one you gain a bit of momentum and probably feed off that a bit more.
But our mind‑set going into that game was to get more pucks to the net. Try to create a little bit more opportunities to score. So I thought we did a good job of that. And I think you’re right, obviously that’s something we want to continue to do.
Q. You guys have actually had layoffs much longer than this two‑day layoff, is the waiting, as they say, the hardest part going up to game time?
SIDNEY CROSBY: Sometimes. I mean, you take advantage of the rest. But you’re always thinking about it. There’s no doubt. But at the same time you take advantage of the rest. So it’s good we were able to get that. But it will be nice to get it going again here tonight.
Q. You were finally able to break out offensively in Game 3. Do you sense Gino might be due for one tonight?
SIDNEY CROSBY: Yeah, he had a lot of chances last time and played very well. Gino, Bugsy Malone, I think those two guys had some great chances. And didn’t go in. But they’re right there. So they’re right on the cusp of putting those in. And hopefully tonight we can put some more in.
Q. How would you characterize your relationship with Don Cherry, and do you and him have some kind of feud?
SIDNEY CROSBY: I don’t really have a relationship with him, to be honest. I’ve never met him. I grew up watching hockey in Canada just like every kid. And I’ve heard negative things on there more than positive things, probably. But it hasn’t changed me. I still watch it whenever I get the chance. And there’s really nothing there. I’ve never met him, and I have nothing against him whatsoever.
So I don’t think there’s really much to say.
