Saturday Night Hockey Notes

11/08/2014 at 8:18pm EST

from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,

- Carey Price, the unquestioned No. 1 goaltender in Montreal, has faced seven shootout shots heading into Saturday night’s action and has stopped them all. Jonathan Bernier, who wants to be an unquestioned No. 1 goalie with the Leafs, has faced three shootout shots thus far and let them all in. Only Jimmy Howard and Ondrej Pavelec have allowed more shootout goals, on a lot more attempts.

- The best pair of defenceman nobody talks about: The undrafted Mark Giordano playing alongside fourth-round pick T.J. Brodie in Calgary. They’re the best reason the Flames are so competitive.

- The London Free Press has named its Top 50 London Knights of all time. Darryl Sittler was No. 3 on the list and Brendan Shanahan was No. 4. No. 1 on the list was Corey Perry. Not in the Top 50: Nazem Kadri.
