Samuelsson Signs Extension

Mikael Samulsson signs a three year extension with the Wings. No details yet. update 12:25pm, from the CP via TSN,
The Detroit Red Wings have signed Swedish forward Mikael Samuelsson to a three-year contract extension.

“I wanted to stay, I wanted to stay for sure,” Samuelsson said after the morning skate at Joe Louis Arena. “I think I played pretty good on this team. ...Was a no-brainer for me.” “Now I’m stuck with him for three more years,” Zetterberg said with a laugh. “He’s been in and out from the power play and I think he’s scored a lot of goals five-on-five, big goals for us, too. He deserves three years for sure.”
