from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,
Bryce Salvador is still feeling the effects after sustaining a first-period hit from Philadelphia’s James van Riemsdyk in Tuesday’s preseason game, so the defenseman was sent for further testing Wednesday.
Lou Lamoriello told reporters before practice the problematic issue for Salvador involved “an ear situation” and not his head, although the Devils’ general manager indicated there is some history with Salvador and concerns with possible head injuries.
Asked for a possible timetable on Salvador’s absence, Lamoriello said: “I won’t know until I talk to the doctors.”
