Sakic To Have X-rays

Team Canada captain Joe Sakic is getting X-rays after taking a highstick in the face late in the game against Switzerland. Sakic was stitched up on the bench in the waning moments of the game, but had to go for X-rays after the game amid fears he may have sustained a broken cheekbone
update 4:22pm, via the CBC,
Team Canada captain Joe Sakic will play in Sunday's game against Finland after an examination of his left cheekbone revealed no fractures.
