Ryan Miller Not Happy With Gaustad Trade

frolm John Vogl of Sabres Edge,

Ryan Miller and Paul Gaustad are the closest of friends. They’ve been roomates. They’ve traveled through Europe together. They were teammates for a decade—a run that ended Monday when the Sabres sent Gaustad to Nashville.

Miller is not happy with the transaction.

“It was a pretty tough day,” Miller said today after practice in Anaheim Ice. “I’m not going to lie. I’m not real happy about the way it all turned out. But that’s the business of hockey.

“Like I’ve said, we don’t make those decisions. That’s more proof because if I had any more influence Paul would still be here. I appreciate the way he plays. He’s been one of my best friends for a long time there. Obviously, that’s going to continue, but it was nice to have him as a teammate and have those other intangibles.”

miller is an over-sensitive type of person.  the guy has his feelings hurt nearly every other week.

Thank God Drew has a bigger sack than Ryan.

Give it a rest, weepy. You’re not making the playoffs, so your team gave up their fourth-round pick for the Preds first-round pick. That’s the deal. Your BFF will be back this summer and then you can spoon one another through the entire 2012-2013 season. Until then, get your blankie and cuddle with it until Paulie comes back.

Sheesh, goalies. Such prima donnas. smile

Funny, I don’t remember some of you using the words “emo” and “over-sensitive” when Crosby was sulking because his buddy Armstrong got traded.

Sid was what, 19, 20? Miller is how old? Exactly. Sid was a kid when that happened. Miller’s a grown ass man.

So you ARE saying he was immature then, is that it?

Look, these guys aren’t robots.  They’re human, and they are allowed to do things like have friends, get bummed when friends get traded, etc.

Do you really think Gaustad’s move is all that’s eating Miller?  No.  BUF is a wreck, and it’s wearing on him.  It’d just one of the growing pile of reasons in BUF to be anywhere else…
