He got the same suspension Brendan Smith got for his hit on Ben Smith, a hit where Ben Smith moved his head last minute into the check vs White charged the shit out of Huskins the recklessly hit him in the jaw with his shoulder.

No rhyme or reason.  This was a perfect time to show some consistency being as the two hits are so similar in nature but differ in context… let down.

seems pretty fair to me. good chunk of games for just a horrible check. I wouldn’t have minded seeing 7 or 8, but I’m just glad the league sees at as a serious infraction. Hell, there were a bunch of people on here that night trying to blame Huskins for not foreseeing an illegal hit and somehow “defending” himself. 

White seems like he’s just really bad at hockey and/or ice skating. Huskins was pretty much just standing there and White skated 30 ft and just MISSED his big ass body and managed to catch jaw only. Just a terrible play.

It’s one more game than I expected him to get. Divide all suspensions by 2 this year and it makes more sense.
