Rule Changes Start Tonight

I just read on the Ice Block that the NHL will institute some rule changes starting tonight. David caught it on TSN in an article about the Flames and Canucks. You would think this would be getting more press than what it is getting, but this is the first I have heard of it.
Beginning tonight pucks fired directly over the glass in the defensive zone are no longer an automatic two minute minor. If a puck is deflected, batted or gloved over the glass and the referee deems it unintentional, it is no longer a penalty. Also, all sticks will be measured before shooters take part in the shootout. If a stick is illegal, its owner is sent back to the bench for a legal stick.
update 5:22pm, Thanks to KK reader Clancy for giving me the heads up- NHL.com has the complete language of the rule changes.
