Hakstol should go with him.

Should have been what happened in LA, Chicago and Edmonton - those were all more on the GMs than the coaches. I wonder if Holmgren wants Quenneville - or at least wants Hakstol gone - and Hextall wasn’t playing ball. It also wouldn’t surprise me if Holmgren identifies and selects himself as the best GM candidate smile

The head of the snake is still alive!
(this is the guy who traded JVR and Bobrovsky within days of each other) And (traded the draft pick that turned into John Carlson, for Steve Eminger )

I’m sure the Lightnings will get a call from Philly to talk to SY…

We have lost Trotz,  are we going to lose SY because we don’t react fast enough ?

I don’t think there is anything to react to. If you believe what everyone seems to suspect about Yzerman coming back to Wings, what Flyers do will not matter. If rumors are true, then there is most likely an agreement already in place that Yzerman will replace KH

Plus why would Yzerman leave a team on the verge of winning to go to a mess of an organization.

He traded two conditional draft picks for a goalie who started 15 games at 6-6-3 and a save pct of .890, and only played 30 minutes in the playoff in relief, then didn’t resign him and got nothing in return.

In fairness to the GM they have to take chances when there’s an opportunity for the team to have success, they often do not turn out well.

Are you talking about Philly or Detroit? *rimshot*

The wings have been going through a bumpy transition and will continue for a couple years, but man…that Philly organization seems to implode like every 5-7 years. No rhyme or reason with some of the moves they make? Also, they haven’t had a top tier goalie in like 20 years…

Believe it or not, I actually consider Wings to be less of a mess than Flyers

Less of a mess is still a mess.
