Ribeiro Named First Star In Dallas/Montreal Game, Goes For A Chelios Skate

Look familiar?

from Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette,

It was fitting that Dallas Stars centre Mike Ribeiro emerged onto Bell Centre ice for his first-star bow through an ad on the boards for Disney On Ice.

Fitting that the Canadiens had spent two-plus hours seemingly auditioning for it.

Fitting, too, for Ribeiro’s Mickey Mouse act that punctuated the Stars’ 3-0 victory.

Ever since he horribly feigned that injury about 5-6 years ago, I’ve never liked Mike Ribeiro.  After seeing more him since he moved to Dallas, he’s done nothing to change that opinion.  He’s really one of the player’s I dislike the most in the NHL.  Just seems like a punk-ass bitch.

Man, I hate both Ribeiro and the Montreal crowd (not all Canadiens fans, just the “crowd”).

I really want to rail on about how Ribeiro is a classless jerk and this is just more evidence that the guy’s a shitstain I want removed with industrial-strength solvent, but eff me if watching that wasn’t funny.

Good show, Mickey Ribs. Now screw off.

Ribero was only 50% of the problem while he was in Mtl. The other half of the problem was management and fans. Being a Mtl. fan, I have no problem with Ribero’s actions. Compare it to Chelios and it looks pretty mild. He celebrated his star to mild crows applause. Overall, not bad. Even the crowd wasn’t so bad. : ) But maybe overt booing can be heard on other clips ...
