According to the Newspaper of Montreal, the Québécois attacker Jean-Pierre Dumont came from there to an agreement from principle with Predators from Nashville. Its recruiting should be confirmed this afternoon.thanks to a KK member for the heads-up in the KKF. update 11:51am,
Sources tell TSN that Dumont has agreed to a two-year contract worth $4.5 million. He will be paid $2 million the first year and $2.5 in the second.update 1:06pm, via the Tennessean,
Dumont, a four-time 20-goal scorer, said this morning that the Predators are on the top of his list and that he will make a final decision by this afternoon. Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Tuesday that the club has signed free-agent forward J.P. Dumont (JAY-pee DOO-mawnt) to a two-year contract that will pay him $2 million in 2006-07 and $2.5 million in 2007-08.
