Report- Jakub Voracek OK After Car Crash

from David Isaac of Flyer Files,

According to a report from Sport.cz, Flyers winger Jake Voracek was not injured when he crashed his Ferrari into a truck in his hometown of Kladno, Czech Republic at 11:30 a.m. Kladno time.

Pictures of the car (tranlated) on Sport.cz’s website sure make it look like Voracek, 23, was lucky to walk away from the accident with no injuries, if that is indeed the case.

According to a Google translation of the report, Voracek was speeding down the road when a truck coming from the opposite direction slowed down to turn left.

added 11:54am, Paul Holmgren issues a statement...

“I spoke with Jake this morning. He was involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic. Although his car did suffer damage, there were no injuries. Jake is fine.”

Wow, that car is toast.  Glad he’s ok.

I’m more worried about the other car driver, but I suppose if Voracek had killed him/her/them it would have been reported by now. I hope.

And you may forgive me for jumping ahead to the conclusion that it was the 23-year-old multimillionaire hockeyplayer in the unfeasibly and impractically fast million dollar spotscar that was the one who caused the accident.
