from Larry Brooks of the New York Post,
It’s bad, Rangers fans.
Franchise goaltender Henrik Lundqvist will be sidelined for at least one month, and perhaps longer, with a neck injury he sustained last Saturday night when struck in the throat by a shot, sources have told The Post.
The Rangers, who have kept the exact nature of the injury a secret, neither denied nor confirmed the timeline of Lundqvist’s expected absence when contacted by The Post.
Lundqvist not only completed Saturday night’s game against Carolina after being hit square in the throat by Brad Malone’s shot just over three minutes into the second period, The King played the full 60 minutes in the Rangers’ victory over the Panthers two nights later.
