Glad that Jonathan is alright (in all seriousness).

In a less serious vein, I can’t wait for someone in the Chicago press to blame this on Jiri Hudler.

Hudler probably was the one to cut his breaks, but I am going to lay the overall blame on General Motors. I think they were pissed he was diving his Benz instead of his Chevy Traverse…or whatever they say he is driving these days, so they enlisted Hudler, the trained assassin, to take out the car.

But in reality, there are a lot of rumors about it being because of post concussion syndrome…likely caused by Hudler as well.

Hudler is just the type of dirty player they are trying to get out of the game.  Guy leaves a swath of destruction in his wake.  He’s like Tiger Williams crossed with Eddie Shore.
His stick slashes at such a speed that most people have never even seen it.

Can’t tell through the illegally tinted windows whether or not the airbag deployed.  I’m skeptical that it is possible to inflict that amount of front end damage by driving into an L-support at the posted speed limit (25 mph?).

I thought Viktor Stalberg was the only Blackhawk who would consistently hit posts?

No Kane jokes?  That makes me sad.

Okay, okay…..
“He wanted to take a cab instead, but he was going to meet Kane at the mall.  Lord knows how the little bitch feels about that…...”

From the Chicago S-T:

At 9:22 a.m., Toews crashed his 2009 Mercedes Benz into a support beam on the CTA elevated tracks on Lake Street. Toews made a left turn from southbound Garvey Court on to east bound Lake Street. While merging into the right lane, Toews’ car struck the steel beam, Chicago police said. No citations were issued in the one-car crash. Toews was not administered a field sobriety test and refused medical treatment, police said. The vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

Toews was issued a speeding ticket in June of 2010 in North Dakota for driving 1-10 m.p.h. above the speed limit.

Toews was already scheduled to miss his second game in a row with what the team is calling an upper-body injury.

And he took the bus home.  Taking no chances with $0.20 and a cab.

ok ok heres a Kane one….......Kane was riding as a passenger, had a weirded out flashback trip and mistook Tayves(yes i know how its spelled) for a cabbie. And beat him LIKE a rented cabbie, thus causing the incident.

Was is icy in Chitown yesterday morning?  It was icy here in southern Michigan where I’m at.  Past couple have been very black ice-alicious actually…

I find it weird that it was a one-car accident that nobody seems interested in investigating.  I mean… he hit a stationary pole.  Either conditions were bad enough they didn’t bother, or there’s a bit of a cover-up there.

Primis, the pics in the Selfish Indulgence link show no snow, no ice of any kind.  I was looking for that as well.  The roads were as clear as can be.  There was sand under his car but I would presume that was for soaking up the radiator fluid.
